ok, today i drove my truck up to the local ski area and ended up having to throw her in four wheel drive and drive for about half a mile. After sticking it in four wheel i could hear and feel a whining noise. But a little more rough than the usual four wheel whine, and i could really feel it in the floorboards. Afterwords when i started my truck up for work my trans temp light came on and wont go off? i know absolutely nothing about trannies or differentials or really anything in the drive train to be honest. any ideas on whats going on? i checked the fluid and couldnt quite tell cause it was dark and snowing like crazy with no light. but it should have fluid due to the transmission being worked on at the shop recently. so i guess in the end why would it be so rough in 4X4 and why is my tranny temp light stuck on even after sitting for a few hours? Really sorry if this may seem like a dumb post but i figure you guys are here to help so thanks in advance

Fluid is perfect. Probaly just a short from the sounds of it, especially after it sitting all night. I'll have to do some searching and get the trans temp gauge hooked up finally
