Hello everyone,
Just buttoning up after my install of DTT shift kit, band strut, anchor, GM Solonoid, and front servo. I needed to know the ballpark qty of fluid to put in to get me started. I looked for it but was only able to find the drop pan/change filter (7 qts) and complete overhaul (17-18 or so). I am assuming that it would be in the 10-12 range but wanted to find out if someone knew for sure.

Thanks!

I would think you would only need around 7-8 Qts of ATF.

I think I put in like 11 and change when I did my valvebody. Can't remember exactly as it was like 2 years ago.

That was with letting tranny drain overnight so when I did the valvebody not as much fluid would be dripping on me.

Just had the converter swapped and pan off for a filter change and ended up putting in like 18.5 quarts.

I would put in 6 and keep checking. Don't overfill!!!
