Im buying a cummins in the next few weeks. I have found a few nice ones but all alittle different.

I would like a manual cause there fun.

But I would like to go to the strip from time to time and try pulling and hopefully enjoy it.

Which is better for some pulling and racing but mainly a daily driver but also maybe some towing??

I have found 5-6 speed sticks

3-6 speed autos

and I like them all

So I need your help

Which is better and why for my application??

Thanks

Kyle

What year did they start putting 6 speed autos in?
I don't know about the others but the 4 speed auto in mine could use a few more gears. It shifts fine and feels good but it's really shortchanging the power of the engine with too few gears.

07.5 with the 6.7.
theres an 02 a guy put an aftermarket 6 spd auto in for towing

I think Im going for that 91 ram 250 with 3spd +overdrive auto

I would really like to move to a 5 speed in that

So what would be a good 5 speed that wont break my bank?? Or could I add another gear into it if I took it apart??
