Tranny Rebuild Help

Hi guys this is my first post, Im looking for some help with building the right trans for my truck. I have an 03 5.9 Cummins I am currently on my second stock trans, with 130K total miles. and about 50K on the second trans. As of now the only performance mods I have are, mbrp turbo back exhaust, and a smarty tuner. Other than an intake and other bolt on upgrades I don't plan on going crazy with this truck. It is my daily driver and I haul small loads occasionally and plow snow in the winter(torturing my truck I know). Im looking to spend 4-5 grand on a solid transmission. My trans is gonna go any day now I bought the smarty around 5 thousand miles ago,and my stock 48RE didn't like it too much haha. Any input or suggestions would help thanks!

Check the friendlly trans builders that support this forum.
In your price range I would look for a build that includes a parts list like this to provide a long lasting, reliable transmission.

HD Sfi certified Flexplate
Competition Master Kit ( includes added clutches in Direct drum and in OD Brake. OD direct clutch modification and oversized HD 2nd gear band)
Billet Servo Cover

Billet Accumulator Piston
Billet 4.2 Ratio Apply lever
High Pressure Valve Body
Double Deep pan with drain plug and transmission temp port

I agree with the above especially the oversized hd 2nd gear band. That band is the biggest problem with these trans in my opinion. And depending on what your trans is doing that band just might need to be adjusted, and you can adjust it without dropping the pan. The hardest part is getting the tools in there to adjust it.
I bought my parts through DTT Just waiting to put them in
