Hey I heard something a couple weeks ago of a 6.7 ram with an Alison tranny in it? WTF and how?

I'm running Suncoast's race tranny as I toasted my stocker. This one seems to be holding up pretty well. If you plan on adding alot of performance parts you may want to look into upgrading your tranny.
i am running the Suncoast race transmission as well, but my torque converter is slipping now... ill be taking it back up this week hopefully... i know ive never felt a transmission shift so smooth as the Suncoast tranny i have...

What TC is that?
I am running an ATS transmission in mine...
I am running the Stage II programming from MHP and it has made a big difference in my tranny. The shifts are more positive and it allows the truck to put more power to the ground. If you don't want to spend the big $$$ for an aftermarket tranny, you should contact Tom at MHP.:SMART:
stage 2 tcm here, get it fro the get-go, it will buy you some more time to save for the suncoast, and you WILL eventually need it.
I have the mod tune. Even if it did not make the tranny more durable, it sure makes it more driveable. All that clunking and banging is gone, shifts are more crisp. Downshift is so much better.

Lot's of go fast in your sig. What sort of power do you think you fed that tranny to toast the TC?
As soon as you think about anything past an EGR block and free flowing exhaust, start saving for that tranny, cuz you won't be able to stop at "just" a tuner. :rof

Too slow compared to an auto.
so just a 120 tuner and an intake will be fine on a stock tranny
my blackmaxx made short work of my tranny.. my new NADP tranny should be here nayday

dont count on it. Im getting tranny shutter with my Smarty set on SW1, (30HP), and i by no means abuse my truck. has only been on a higher setting once

How do you like the ATS trans? I see most people go for the Suncoast or NADP. Does ATS modify the tranny tune like Suncoast?

Probably not. XRT on 120 damaged my trans. I wouldn't go over 60 on the XRT on a stock trans that you want some decent life out of.
I smoked my tranny last week. Only ran smarty on SW5 (90 HP) but I also have 8" lift and 37" tires. I do not baby my truck but the stock tranny only lasted me 3000 miles after mods. Getting suncoast rebuild as we speak.
