Looking to put a set of traction bars on wanting peoples input on what they have used. What people think are better the weld on or the bolt on kits. Whos kits have you had good luck with and the kits that are not worth the money spent. Thanks for any info

Been running CalTrac bars for about 5 years now. Absolutely great product. They are engineered fantastically and are completely bolt on. You'll call them up and they'll ask for a few measurements from you and then they'll put you together a set.

The ride is definitely firmer on the back end but there is zero wheel hop now and when I put them on I remember my launches were definitely more solid. They also look great under the truck.

Here's a link for convenience:

I had caltacs on my last truck and they made the ride very ridged. My next set will be these torque arms from wfo. Buddy runs these and they don’t sacrifice any ride quality at all.

The torque arms or also called "Ladder bars" are the best when it comes to ride quality and suspension articulation.

Depending on what you want to do with the truck should help you determine what you want. If you want something easy to put on your axle and keep the dreaded axle wrap then track bars will work as long as you are willing to take the ride quality hit and suspension articulation hit.

If you want the smoothest ride possible and need the articulation, and you are willing to spend the extra time putting in a Ladder bar, then you will get the best of both worlds. Mine is welded to the pumpkin just to the side of the driveshaft.
