Toyo m/t's in the snow/ice ?

Hey guys, tryed the search but got nothing solid.
Question I have is if I should be taking off the toyos for winter here up north?
Everybody I talk to says they will pack in with snow and be useless!? I got my stockers with about 75-80% left.
Just thought I would ask the experts before I do the swap and sensors plus alignment . Thanks in advance

Toyo's aren't bad in the snow, no good on ice but they aren't meant for ice. If you're in Toronto I wouldn't say you need to worry much about snow... The stock tires will probably perform better in those conditions tho. I use my Toyo M/T's all year round up here and I have no problems.
They are terrible on ice but going through snow they will be good. I hate the stockers so id keep the toyos on all year and just add some weight to the back end

I live in Colorado and run Toyo MT's and don't have any issue's.. I have had better luck with them vs BF AT's.
With enough throttle most any mud terrain
I meant to say with enough throttle most any mud tire or all terrain will work just fine
Not running them on this truck, but I have run them on several trucks in the past with no issues.
I was worried how my toyo mts would handle in winter in Alberta...
So far not nearly as bad as I thought. I would say same as an AT tire. But I drive to road conditions so maybe I'm different. Just my two cents.
For those of you saying Toyos don't work well on ice, what DOES work well on ice? We don't get snow/ice very often in central Texas, but when we do it's usually in the form of freezing rain and it's a slick hard surface that I can't imagine any tread will perform well on.

Sieped Hankook dynapro mt's. The best winter tires I've ever had, aside from studded tires.

The OP asked if the Toyo's were good in snow/ice. So we answered and to answer your question about what is good on ice... Snow tires are good on ice as they have many sipes in the tread and the rubber compound is super soft. Also someone mentioned studs as well. Most snow tires accept studs.
Pull trigger bud! You won't regret it! And this is coming from Calgary where winter sucks!!! I think u guys get more snow though in Toronto?
Toyo MT's will be fine on the ice if you get them siped, I live in Fairbanks Alaska and I have run them on 2 diesels and my Powerwagon . Siping is the key to ice traction.
Wow guys thanks for the confidence to keep them on!!!
They're almost brand new so lots of lug left. I'm looking foreword to the snow now! Lol
Limitedcummins-yes tons of snow coming off the lake for us here, I'm east of TO now but find it worse here !
Thanks again guys for the replys!!!
Yep keep them on... I have had 4 or 5 sets of them in the snow with no issues... Add some weight to the bed and you will be fine.
I run mine year round. There not great on ice as everybody said. I just use 4x4 on icy roads. As long as you are an ok driver you will be fine.

They are very good in deep snow as well I have never had them pack up with snow. That being said you have to know your limits.
Those stock BFGs are absolutely garbage in any snow. Just throw them out! Keep the MT's on, I had them on a jeep and they were incredible.
mts

good tread and sipped will get you thru a lot of ice, also common sense these are heavy trucks
