Is there any way to make the trans shift smoother. The truck seems to bang into gears...I am comparing to my 2006 chevy which seems to be very smooth.

If you are in tow-haul then probably not, unless you really have your foot in it. They do shift a little hard but it doesn't seem to be a bad thing according to what everybody is saying. Your Dodge will probably never seem as smooth as your Chev but you have a strong transmission in the Dodge and I don't think I would worry unless it is really hard and lurching. You may see more of it when the exhaust brake is on in tow-haul and you are decelerating.

New tune to take care of that. It think it is a TSB as well. Had it done on mine, and it is much smoother now.
