Time for a tranny rebuild and a new torque converter. was thinking about a suncoast one, because the price isn't bad and i heard good things about it. Any other suggestions would be appriciated. Thanks

I'm gonna get a Goerend TC & VB. I hear nothing but good about them. And Dave supposedly has great customer service.

I like Suncoast. Just don't loose the Bill of Lading they send you for the core...

I personally rather deal with Suncoast than Goerends', but we're fortunate to have both companies. I'm just kind of weary dealing with a company that as I can tell is built on one man's shoulders.

That said, if I was doing it again I would get one from a smaller company like Hughes or whatever's local. I don't think that either company is worth the premium.

I think you need to go to a shop that understands the difference in needs of a diesel tranny.
