my friend stripped his torque converter over the weekend :doh: he has a 95 12 valve with afe intake, 4 in full exhaust, no fuel plate, star wheel turned up, hx 40, and plans on installing his 150hp injectors, 4k springs and and pump springs and maybe a lil bigger turbo upgrade in the summer. Hes ordering the parts this week for the trans what all should he buy so it will hold the power the trans is only 6 months old but is stock. He was looking at a shift kit and dtt single disk torque converter which is rated for 450+ hp. In college so on a budget any input would be great thank you.

Tell him when you're on a budget, the first thing to do is take care of the parts you got. That means: Stock tranny--->Stock engine.

And still go with DTT. No sense in buying it twice. Or in his case three times.:rof:hehe:

he actually didnt buy the first one. only bought the truck 5 months ago it came with the new trans.

DTT is good, and has great prices. ask for a combo deal
