There are MUCH better options out there, for just a bit more money.

Their arms are crap, will squeak, and the bushings don't hold up.

Tog gun Customz is the worst company on the planet to by from. Your waaaaay better off getting in touch with George at 8lug truck gear or cjcoffroad.com they will both steer you in the best direction.

I have both their contact info if you'd like it give me a quick pm.

My only experience was almost buying some shocks from them before I made a much better choice (in my opinion). Their customer service was pretty piss-poor in my opinion and it took several calls for them to answer their phone.

This was about 2 years ago however so maybe things have turned around.

That's what I need to know. I am looking at Carli and Thuren. I have had Skyjacker on another truck and was happy with it.

Some guys on here like them and others will say they are no good, i cant say nor will i talk bad on anyone that can build a kit. Top Gunz seem to know what and how to put a kit together so its just up to you, Good luck
They don't build kits. They order from another company and then call it their own. They also don't know how to troubleshoot with their customers. The reason it takes so long to get an answer back on a question is because they have to email someone else to find out the answer, then "repackage" that email and send it to you so it looks like they know what they are talking about.

4 Wheel Parts is the Wal Mart of the 4x4 industry, and Top Gun Customz is Dollar General. Both make a lot of money, but they don't know what they are selling. They just ring it up and thank you for your business via an automated system... and the people that do work there are not specialists by any means, they are just regular Joes who like monster trucks.

To specifically answer the original question, some of the TGC kits aren't TERRIBLE, they are just cheap. That's what many of their customers want is the least expensive option. If you know exactly what you want and don't need any help, you can get stuff pretty cheaply from them.

If you would like something a little more geared towards you and your truck, there are several companies that are a much better option and can sometimes even beat TGC's pricing. But if they are higher, it's worth it in the end because you get to talk to a real person who knows Dodge trucks. There are several vendors on this site who fit the bill - I would use them before I would use TGC. Often, it's the vendors here who are answering tech questions for TGC customers who can't get help from where they bought their kit.

Carli and Thuren are high end and make GREAT products. If you find that you can't quite spend that much on your truck, the next step would be Pure Performance. Their kits are awesome and the prices are really good considering what you are getting. Below that price point, you are getting into the Skyjacker/TGC price point where you often end up spending more in the long run replacing cheap parts, than if you had just bought the good stuff right from the beginning.

Hope this helps.

Go with Carli or Thuren... You can build the kit to your needs. You won't be disapointed because what you ask for is what you will get. Ride is absolutely amazing and like no other kit out there

things have not turned around.

I decided to buy a lift kit from them. Started calling on a monday morning as soon as they opened. Kept getting put on hold and they hung up on me and this went on for 2 hours. I was ready to spend a couple thousand dollars with them and i couldnt even talk to them.

So, i went with a rough country lift.

I don't know how they stay in business. :confused013: There are so many companies that would claw tooth and nail to get that sale, and then TGC treats people like this all the time, yet their phones keep ringing. I don't get it.

there's a market for 'the cheapest you can get'... if it's cheap enough, people will put up with a lot of ****.
