When driving to work this morning (-24f) and the other morning (-26f) I noticed the turbo was pushing too much boost with very little throttle, both times I had allowed the truck to heat up for 10-15 minutes and had the block heater on all night. Ect temp was 130-160 and trans temp at 45-56. It struggled to hit 35 mph and would start lurching while the boost psi hit 15-20 with very low throttle. I use winter blend diesel and treat it myself when I know its going to be subzero. Idles perfectly fine and starts perfectly fine. Not sure what it could be, any help is much appreciated

More information needed on the truck. My shot in the dark would be stuck VGT actuator. My 12 did the same thing when the actuator failed closed.

I just drove it and the boost felt normal, however reaching the top of third gear It wouldn't shift to fourth and would lurch like earlier. Turned it off restarted it and ran well all the way up to 6th then started lurching when Slowed down and tried to shift back to 6th and couldn't get up to speed lurching again. Truck is deleted and tuned with a rebuilt revmax stage 2 trans. Im not sure if that can help narrow it down but im bringing it to the shop tomorrow

Assuming you have some sort of gauges I'd be checking the VGT% position to see if it's able to open up. Cold high idle with EB on should have it in the high 90s (closed) and driving it should drop to 70% or lower if you're heavy on it at higher rpms. Depends on your tuner, of course.

So gather it’s an automatic truck. What else? Stock? Deleted? Tuned? Gauges? Please fill out your signature so we know what we’re dealing with.
