I have searched and cannot find definitive information on this. If I replace one or all injectors on an 07.5 do I have to have the new injectors programed? If so what happens if I don't. Will it run at all? Some have said it is not necessary and all videos on the tube dont show a reprogram.

There should be trim codes on the injectors (6-digit, IIRC) which I recall reading should be flashed into the ECM to tell it what it’s doing. Cummins has like a 2% flow rate tolerance so it seems to me the purpose of the trim codes is to tell the computer how to adjust individual injector signals to ensure equal cylinder contribution. It might be worth a call to an injector shop or a retailer who deals with a bunch of these. Geno’s has an excellent tech line, and several of the folks from @DDP Motorsports are very active on here if you reach out. I’ve spoken to and dealt with them several times; if they don’t know the answer, they’ll point you at someone who does.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

El Pozzinator (Larry?) is spot on.

It will run and run fine without putting in codes. The codes are to tell the ECM how to adjust for each injector so it’s optimized to your truck, so whichever injector is on the higher end of tolerance doesn’t need to be held open as long. And we’re talking absolute fractions of a second.

I don’t know exactly how it compensates. And any variance would be completely unnoticed by driver. I would say they went to codes to really dial it in for emissions.
