I've had 37" toyo mt's for one year, they are at 1 quarter tread. What tires do you guys use that last longer but at the same amount of wet traction and off road grip?

As long as you stay with mud terrains you probably wont ever see much life out of them. How many miles do you drive a year? My hankook ATm's are a 60,000 mile tire and I have personally seen sets with more than 75,000 on them and still be about 10-20% tread left on them. If you want longevity, get away from the mud terrains. The rubber is a lot softer in them.

then your doing something wrong....you should get upwards to 40k out of a set of Toyo MTs. Are they wearing square? are you loading the ever living crap out of them and wearing them out that way? (not that you would ever do such a thing) Burnouts?

Cumminsdog is right. Even mud terrains should at the minimum get you to 30,000 miles. The toyo's are on the very low end when it comes to quality as far as I'm concerned but they should do a bit better than that.

My truck daily driving weighs about 9 800 pounds. The alignment was screwed up for a while and to be honest I still don't know the proper alignment should be so that caused some excess where but they're just rounding off and in general getting flat spots. The rear tires are about half tread wear as the front are below 1 quarter.

I'm gonna venture to say its something you are doing or something wrong with the truck. There are plenty of guys that get 40,000 out of MT tires. I can personally say Toyo makes a great tire. Have you kept up on rotations? How are your front end components?

As of now all of my front end components are brand new and aftermarket. When I put the tires on however they were all worn out. Quite a few of them broke apart while driving.

I do take corners at 50 so that rounds the outside.

Why are you driving like that ^^^^^^!!!! Your truck weighing in at almost 10K isn't helping tire life at all. Lifted and 37" don't help matters either. Good luck .

Rub your hand across the tread if one way is rough and the other way is smooth then i believe you are toed inwards to far or you camber

i drive aggressivly so thats never going to change. that said the toyo are the best traction tire ive ever had on rain, snow, ice, mudd, ect. the trucks weight is just what it is... even with just my tool box i hit the scales at over 9K. these trucks weigh so much to begin with that i dont really understand the 8800lbs weight limit. you cant fit 3/4 of a ton int he bed with out going over that regardless of how you slice it. maybe if i removed the bed and an axle...

ill see how they work now that the alignment is done and such. i drove 50 miles to a tires plus shop that managed to adjust the thrust angle and camber. the local shop here didnt know how to do that.

I don't want to argue with anyone. I am just saying, toyos are the les schwab special. They cant in anyway compare to hankooks, Michelins, Nokians, or even Coopers. I am also not impressed at all with BF Goodrichs either. I personally feel that BFG's and Toyos are cheaply made and I wouldn't waste my money with them.

i fully agree with the bfg tires, ive been out with friends who have them and my old trucks duller revos won out in many situations against them. still my idea of Micheline are more of a road tire as i dont think ive ever seen an off road model from them. ive heard good things about cooper but never tried them, my toyo open country MT are hands down the most expensive tires ive owned and also the best performing in snow and mud while still retaining very good dry control and decent wet control. considering the power im shoving through them i am impressed.

im not sure what im doing yet. i will push these toyos out another season and then figure things out.
