So last week I order some new rims for the truck,
Ordered Moto metal melees in 20X12
Truck just has a 2.5 leveling kit and I was wondering about tire size, I’m aware there will be some trimming involved if I go with a 35x12.5 tire, I’ve considered a 33 to avoid cutting up the fender liner but I already think my 35s look too small I have on now,
Would really appreciate if anyone has pictures or information on exactly how much trimming for 35s such as if you’ve gone into the metal seam.
And public opinion would 33s look silly on a leveled 2500?

What year is your Ram? The 2013 and newer trucks sit a little taller than the 10-12 Rams. You'd probably have to do a lot of trimming on a 10-12.

Call around and see which tire shop is willing to 'work' for your money. Have them slap 35's on your new front when and check for rub. If it rubs more than you're willing to trim, then drop down a size. You can always go the 285, 290, 295 size route and be slightly larger than 33, 34, 35 etc. to find a 'middle' ground. my stock 285's were 33+" and my 295's are 35+

Wheel width and backspacing/offset have as much effect on fitment as lift height and tires size. Too much backspacing and a tire can rub the control arms or frame. Too little backspacing and they can rub the outer corners of the bumper and fenders and wheelwell liners.

35's will not clear with those wheels. I tried and it just ate the tire and rubbed with even the slightest turn on my fenders. Either go with 33's or send the wheels back. I ended up getting rid of the wheels because 33's look way to small.
