Just did my timing today:headbang: Wow what a difference!! I also torqued down the stock bolts to 130ft lbs so Im gonna let her go through a few heat cycles before I start to put the spurs to it. Im really impressed with just part throttle power.

Where did you find your directions to adjust your timing? I found some nice step-by-step directions online this winter when I was bored, but I can't find them anymore. I bought my truck this past fall and I like the way it works, but it does NOT like cold weather. In fact, if it is below freezing, good luck! That's what I get for buying an Arizona truck! Power is awesome though. He said he has it set at 21* but since the pump retards at rpm, it is more like 18? I don't really know much about it, but I am looking to do some wrenching when I get a few spare minutes this summer.

Thanks for your help! Hope your truck turns out great! Its really amazing what kind of power you can turn out of these engines! I've got WAY more power than I can put to the concrete.

I got my instructions off of here
TSB 18-10-94 Rev. A

I know what you mean when the truck is cold. Im gonna adjust my idle tommorow cause right now in gear with the truck warm idle is around 450-500rpms. I just did another heat cycle and got on it just a tad more (bout 15lbs of boost) with it fully warmed, where it used to just almost lay down before is where it really starts to pull. It really isnt all to bad to do but a buddy with you does make life easier.
