I just did the mod in the above video. Do I need to readjust the kick down cable again?

throttle valve cable
I installed the cable today and it made my fuel pedal hard as hell to press down. I pulled it out, lubed it up with roller chain lube and it moves fine. I checked the lever on the tranny and it moves great. It seems like there is alot of tension from the spring on the cable. My question is, why wont it move freely when installed? thanks Josh

I'm thinking because the throw is now shortened, the kick down timing should be off. Wondering how I can adjust for that?
