I am going to change my T-stat for a coolant flush and am wondering what the small bright silver tube is that runs from the exhaust manifold to the coolant tube that sits on top of the thermostat. Can I safely unscrew it without getting a stream of coolant? Any help is appreciated. Thx-

No coolant in it. Just deadly exhaust gases. Be careful and plenty ventalation.
