well i havent ever heard of anyone breaking a 1 3/8 imput in one of these 6speeds, but i sure did yesterday. i was just pulling a load of square bales of straw on the goose neck going up a decent hill in 5th gear and i just was coasting up it until i gave it some fuel to get over the crest of it and she snapped right off just like has happened to our 5speeds before we upgraded the shafts in them.

Ouch man. That sucks. I snapped the output off at 5th gear and that sucked.

Serious HorsePower will do strange things. In review, 5th gear pulling heavy load at perhaps 40 MPH was way to low speed for shaft. Lugging of engine (maybe 1500 RPM)with torque reduction of ECM disabled was just to much twist. Might consider a Fuller or Clark tranny.
IMO it didn't let you down - you just added Horsepower beyond it's capabilities.
