As if it weren't enough in the 9 months ownership I've dealt with...

Cracked 53 block
Dead lift pump
Hunting for TC lockup
Cracked interior
Death Wobbles
Ripped leather
lost headlights
And other small nuances

Today I'm privileged to get a dead pedal on the way home. The scanner greeted me with a glorious P0216 code.

I'm absolutely tired of dealing with this turd. I'll never own another Dodge or Cummins again. The past 7462 miles have sucked.

Thank god it appears I've got a contract on my old house. Hopefully I'll be rid of this thing.

Sounds like you should have inspected the truck a little better before you bought it. No truck will last if its abused and not taken care of, even a D-max that in your sig you say is greater....buy used buyer beware.

I'll keep that in mind. I should go get that x-ray vision so I can see what the insides look like of a VP44, lift pump, and internal wiring. You know, all that stuff you can't diagnose but how many other people have problems with here? :thumbsup

dont let one truck turn you away. every brand has a bad truck here and there. i always give things a second chance so i think you should do the same

Hey bud alls I'm saying is when you buy a used truck (any brand) you never know what your getting, thats why I stated buyer beware. BTW I don't bash any brand of truck, they all have there good and bad points.

Sorry for the rant people. It's just been a crap week for me. I'm in IT and I'm the ONLY person here this week out of 10 other co-workers. I also killed my cell today after leaving it on the toolbox and driving off because I'm so flustered over everything. It just seems that anything that can go wrong, keeps going wrong.

Oh yeah, and I got a bill in the mail for $556 in medical bills that weren't expected yesterday.

I'm to the point where I want to start drinking again.

Dude, welcome to life and take it one day at a time. In the future if your looking for a kind ear I wouldn't advise bashing Cummins on the Cummins forum. Good luck wih the new truck...........whatever brand it may be.

Yep, know what you mean. Now, I don't mean to stir the pot. But that's one thing I don't get. Why is everyone here so die hard over these trucks? I know my sig with the duramax thing is a jab. But even on the other specialist forums (duramax and the dozen or so bike forums) they admitted flaws in their vehicles. The duramax was injectors. The bikes each have their own little issues.

That's just an observation. Take it for what you will. I'm not saying it's bad. I just don't understand it at times.

You know, I guess things even out. I do have to recall that I picked up a new BD converter a couple of weeks ago for $650 shipped. I also have a new billet input for $500 shipped. And I hope my BD VB will come in soon for a grand total $350 after I get the core back to them. That helps pay for half of the VP. It just hurts when you don't expect it.
