Here is a nice little write up on the new Ram. The Tool Box built into the Sides are a very nice touch

Isn't that just the 1/2 ton? I thought the HD's were starting in 2010? Anyway, I'm kinda partial to the current setup. But it doesn't look bad. Tool boxes on the side are very convenient, just more places to leak water to me.
The new display looks like they tried to copy something from Lexus. It looks like they designed it to be more aerodynamic, I wonder if they are going to change anything from that to the HD models, or if they are going to implement a new Cummins motor?
i would think it would get loose after a while and rattle...maybe not

dont know why they are touting the locking tailgate as " new ".
i have the ram lock option on my 04.5.
may be just me, but i also dont think the interior of the 3rd gen looks THAT cheap.
yes, it is run of the mill, but they make is sound like a kia or something.

not sure i like the new body style, ill wait to see one in person.

and.. a V8 cummins ? what are we going to do ??? all the raggin about the powerstroke / duramax being 8 cylinders of crap and now we may have one ?
i see lots of eating crow if that happens.

Hopefully Cummins will not do that. I can't imagine why they would.
I personally think everything about that truck is the dumbest move chrysler has ever done... the tool box is cheap looking, doing away with the option of the megacab and the quad cab is dumb, and most importantly going to a V8??? :coocoo
looks expensive
yea why would they do away with the mega cabs.....i think thats one of the best things theve ever done. really wish i would have gotten it
Yeah, the execs at Chrysler that get paid the big bucks should consult this site when wanting to totally rework their trucks. No Mega or Inline 6 is ludicrous!!!
There will still be an inine 6 for the 2500 and 3500. The smaller V8 is for the 1500.

Oh okay, they want to compete with that new Duramax.

First, this is the 1500 series.

It is more economic to make one Crew Cab

Lastly, we are already driving the HD engine certified for 2010 and beyond.
Sorry not impressed at all and look at the crappy mirrors again ford and chev changed theirs and they are all power with turnlights built in pretty sweet ..

Love my megacab 2006 5.9 (hobby truck) as I have sadly given up on a bike too many meatheads on the roads and I am keeping it for a long long time I am looking at getting another ride I jumped into a full load and lifted 8inch Duramax yes own 2 trucks

sorry going off topic abit

It's nice but the toolbox bed side is lame, the bed space is like the chev and ford step sides from the 90's

Listen to the end user that would be the smart thing to do......
I guess it is only going to seat 5 people, Mine sits 6. I guess with that ugly console someone's going to have to ride in that "bed"
Last I talked to dealer they are going to keep making megacabs through 2010. Until the new style change. Then who knows. AT least they are gonna make a real crew cab.
I beleive the toolbox is an option as is the console between the seats(comes w/ bucket seat option). The V8 is a 5.7L for 1500 only. There will also be a 4.6L V6 for smaller applications.

The crew cab is like a mega without the space behind the rear seats.
There will be a v-8 cummins in the 1500... They are trying to get the mpg up on these trucks per the goverment requirements.

I for one do not mind them dumping the megacab.. I do not like the trucks that have more interior room than cargo bed.. You might as well be driving a station wagon with the top cut off...LOL

I might look into getting one of these... But will probably go with the duramax 1500....
