i found a brand new tci tc for sale for $400 part number 142261TCI . my stock is going out and i thought it could only be stronger, right? i know its not going to hold alot of power, but will it help the slipping? i cant even run the smarty on 30hp without slipping a little. just want to hear your thoughts. for $400 it sounds like a good deal

Generally, you get what you pay for in terms of transmission parts. it sound like a good deal, but I don't think it would help out that much, unless you have lots of miles on your tranny. I would look into HTS, BD, Suncoast for torque converters. They are a bit pricey, but they are very good quality parts and are designed for moderate to high horse applications.
