Since my exhaust (stock) is about to fall off, I'm going to order a new TBE straight through. Is there really any difference between 4" and 5"? :confused013: Anyone with experience with both?
5in will flow a little more air and keep the EGTs a little cooler and its a little deeper sounding too but if your not looking for crazy power then 4in will be fine.
Big difference between 4" and 5". I've ran both. The sound is night and day. To me, the 4" was raspy and annoying. The 5" is deep and more similar to the 5.9 straight pipe sound.
Like Patrick said, the 5" is going to give the truck a deeper, more aggressive sound. I recommend just going ahead and doing the 5" TBE. You might see a slight drop in EGT's at WOT, and they might cool a little faster at idle with the 5" as well.
