There is a tang that has to be pushed down, sometimes you have to push plug in while trying to remove plug, or use small screw driver to release tang. some of those connectors can be a real pain.

Tailgate camera connecter
What's the trick disconnecting camera connecter on 2010 ram tailgate.? I pulled the red clip and the connecter does not want to pull apart.
