Let the professionals build it.... Suncoast, Revmax, BD or ATS

I have a Suncoast Comp68
Revmax 550.

This will be what I do when the time comes.

To highlight the details:

- You'll need a billet covered converter with multiple lock-up clutches. I'd also suggest something that locks the converter sooner than stock. The TCM's have a partial lock-up state, that when used with multi-disc converters, can cause a shudder. Controlling lock-up eliminates the partial lock-up state.

- Modified pump to increase line pressure in forward gears.

- More clutches than stock for increased torque holding capacity (specifically the overdrives).

- Something to control the transmission other than the stock TCM. Be it a Co-Pilot, Overdrive or MCC tune. More line pressure than stock has to be commanded, otherwise you've got a fancy transmission with stock line pressure. Which = boom.

If you go over 500hp, I'd suggest a billet flexplate, over 600hp add a billet input shaft.
My ATS unit is doing awesome. Got about 30k miles on it towing very heavy at 650hp.
