i would buy the box that fits under the seat. and what kind are you looking for? 10" or 12" because there is alot of brands to go wit that will fit. i would go wit some rockford fosgate p1-p3 and they even have the slim kind too. or alpine type-r. thoes two are the best bang for the buck.
to go under which seat?? either ten or twelve....
i built my own box, cost me $40 and some time, i have 2 rocksford fosgate punch 12 subs, and punch amp, works good, sounds good but you CANNOT hear it outside the truck. With the system truned up all the way you cant hear it outside with the windows up, kinda nice actually i dont have to worry about gettin a ticket. I just have one small rattle to fix, the floor pan vibrates on the pass. side, sounds like crap
i want to make a little noise outside too...i also want somethin somewhat cheap...
i dont know if you will make that much noise outside because the boxes arent that big and dont move much air, but my dad bought a 2 10" box from a flea market around my place for 60$.
tHe Mtx thunderform boxes are nice. You can get them loaded with 2 10"s and a 200watt amp and color matched to your interior. They are kinda pricey though bout 400-450 seems to be the going rate. But its all in one package just hook up power, rca's, adn signal wire and your done. mounts under the backaseat.
my kicker 10" fit under the back seat perfectly. I put my amp under the pass. seat but there is also room between the subs or you can mount it to the back wall of the cab but you have to remove the back seat for that.

best i have found is a vented box between the front seats. you can get a farily big box there and can fit a higher power 12" sub there. your really limited under the back seat with such a small box and the box is the hart of your system.

or take out the back seat and build a big vented box to fit in it's place.

small box's just suck. also the small box will hold the heat more witch ends up killing your subs.
my truck has limo tint on it though so barely any sunlight gets in and not much heat gets in...

subwoofers make heat as you play them. with a small box the box will hold the heat. has nothing to do with sun light:thumbsup:

vented box will keep them cooler than any. witch inturn they will play loader longer:thumbsup:

yea there is alot more to it then throwing subs in a box then cranking it up all day. thos people wonder why they blow subs all the time.

do you know the diffrence between a vented and sealed box?
yeah i think so but im assuming it would take some time to make one...

yes it will take a little more time to build a vented box and a little more math to get it right. but in the end a vented box will be much loader then a sealed. plus biger the better most the time. i say that because 90% of the time you run out of room for a biger box befor it is to big for the sub.
yep vented is the only way to go, but hard to find a good vented box for under the back seat most are sealed. There are alot of shops that will custom mold a box to fit perfect and take up all the space possible to make them sound much better, i have 2 10" jl w1's in my mega right now with a punch a2 800 watt amp and its plenty loud, w3's are the best bang cheaper sub but there to deep to fit most truck boxes, and like stated above there is alot more to subs then the subs and amp, boxes make a huge difference and type of amps also.

i don't know about a vented box under the seat. probly wouldn't work to good since it has to be so small.

for the setups i have done just a single 12" between the seats in a vented box works the best. if there was just more room under to seat it would be grate.

dodgessmoke PM me a phone number i will call ya and explain more of it to ya and help you get a good system setup:thumbsup:
i got a box made for 2 10" subs under my back seat an works good. if your interested PM as i am selling the box, both subs an the amp. less than 3 months old nothing wrong with it just took it out of the truck an sitting in my dining room.....
Does anyone have a pro box from proboxrocks.com. They look really tough and they are a vented design. Wondering how they sound?
Yeah, I was going to suggest the probox, also check out the fox box. I think the site is fox acoustics, they have some legit premade's and from what I have read sound good too.
