It's so you can run a lower air pressure in the rear. There is a sticker on the in side of the door that will tell you the light load setting. My 08 is 60psi fronts and 45psi rears on the light load setting.

What a great feature. I wish I had this button when unloaded. 60 up front is always vital due to weight of the oil burner but being able to switch the TPMS between 45psi unladen and 70psi hauling would be great.
