Getting ready to pull my head, have it checked out/freshened up before compound install. After studs are installed what is the procedure for removing the head? Is there room to slide it up and over or do the studs have to be removed before head can be? Thanks in advance.

put head on, install studs, washers, and nuts, then to remove, remove nuts, washers, and studs, then head...

also, i believe there's a tiny bit of material you have to "machine" off the valve cover to get it to go on with the studs installed

Suckers pretty heavy.. I suggest engine hoist or another person to help get it out. I just pulled my head last weekend and I got it out by hand but put it in with a hoist lol
