While installing X-mas present ARP head studs I discovered the early signs of a head gasket coolant leak. Incredible timing, I have to admit I really lucked out on that part. Can anyone think of anything else to address while the head is off? Already have new sealing washers for the banjo fitting on the back of the head and the fuel return line tee is tight/dry. I will run the valves after it's all back together. Belt and tensioner are good. Just trying to cover all the bases and save some work down the road. I am also going to see if I can get the tappet cover off without pulling the VP while I have the head off. Have read before that it can be done, and I would think it's possible with the head out of the way since it frees up a little space to get behind the pump. I will post back on that part. Thx all.
