Stroker CP3/120's w/ stock charger

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this but going to ask anyhow...

Can this combo be run with the stock charger till I can afford to upgrade the charger? I am no EFI guru, but you can back the timing and duration down so they can be run correct :confused013:

The reason I ask is that I am in a situation now where I can afford these from a friend who is cutting me a deal. I hope not to run it like this for long...would like to upgrade to stocker/475 shortly there after.

Thanks!

I ran 60% overs with a stock charger for 6 months or so. Quite toasty on top. But it was good driving besides that

The cp3 isnt going to cause any ill effects on a stock charger. The larger injectors are whats going to give you an issue. If I were in your shoes I would contact a reputable tuner on here and ask them if they feel confident in tuning down the fuel to a safe level effectively.

But, I am going to say yeah they most likely can.
I guess I'm confused, why you wouldn't just do the injectors at the time you have the turbo kit done? Installing a CP3 is a very different process anyways, not like injectors won't add any labor.
With no tuning it will be fine. Ppl run highr hp levels on a box stock trucks everyday. Juat a little different avenue than most.
Mmm. Didn't realize that was possible. I guess it will only command as much fuel as you say therefore it won't put out anymore than the stock injectors with the same tune correct? But obviously they have the ability to so.
No, it will always be putting out more fuel than stock, untill the cp3 cant keep up. I ran 120s on lvl 7 smarty, with stock turbo and cp3 no issues besides being uber hot

That's funny, I was draining my rail with 100 H/P F-1 Nozzles and a 80% race CP3 from T&C Diesel, so I went to a PPE Dual Fueller set-up with new Dura-Max pump on top.
That doesnt surprise me one bit really Jerry.
Either his nozzles aren't what they said they were, or mine is way bigger than advertised. 80 H/P nozzles are pushing it on a perfectly functioning CP3 pump, Just my opinion.:hehe:

No, the larger Cp3 will not effect anything.

I find it very hard to believe you ran 120s on a stock cp3 with smarty tuning and didnt loose rail pressure.
She'll work til you can buy a turbo
