the aftermarkey boxes and programers are more aware of the limits of the stock injector and how much pressure it will take to crack the average injector. now yes, some will still crack beofre others, thats just manufactureing. however running smarty on #2 is just fine. it doesnt go wild on the pressure, just gives it a bump to help in recovering the rail when you get on it.

Lately i have been hearing this long idleing none sence. Would 15 -20 minets every time i start my truck from november- march months for the last 4 years be considered long idleing????? Because that is what i do and will continue to do win i am freezing my axxxxx of in winter. 110,000 miles and no sigh of injector problems wile averaging 17 - 18 mpg on 1000 mile runs very close to the same as from day one. I did lose 1 mpg to usld. I have gave this issue a lot of thought. Has any one tryed to figure out if the failing injector issue has any thing to do with trucks that do very little road trips. I drive mine 1004 miles back and forth from oregon to az often. and from az to baja 415 miles both one way often. I wonder if some of these failers are because of excessive start and stop type driving??? (start drive 4 miles stop) repeate.???
