Ok, so ive been lurking this forum for a while without responding to threads much and for that i appologize, but now i need some help. I replaced my power steering pump, power steering gearbox about a month ago. I dont think it leaks any ps fluid, but my steering is terrible unless the rpms are up. It turns fine when driving, but when im at idle or trying to park in a parking space, its near impossible to turn. Im not sure what it is...and ideas?

That would really tick me off!

Check fluid level.
Proper oil used.

I would start over by removing the steel pipe at the gear box, fire up the engine and blow the oil out and then re-fit and fill.

Possible that one of the new components is faulty ??

Darn it anyway, it should steer easy allround.

Here is my true story.
My steering got stiff and stiffer.
Then the clock sping broke in the column.
Turns out it was the column bearing siezing up and jammed the clock sping.
Until then I thought it was one of the power steering components.
Sure steered nice after that repair.
