Steering Systems

So I have a 94 Ram, but it originally had a v10 based on the VIN, which has been riveted to the dash of the 98 cab that was swapped on with the 24 valve... Now we own this thing that has had a long and crazy history.

My steering, like most other 2nd gens, is terrible. I know the 94-98 Rams had one type of steering, the inverted y system, then 99 Dodge upgraded to the HD steering which uses a inverted t system. I'm not sure what system I have, and I can't find any pictures of a 94-98 system vs a 99+ system, at least nothing that I'm sure I can trust. What do I look for on mine? I do have a steering stabilizer, by the way. So, what's each system look like? I read that a 99 HD system can be put on 94-98 ram, but I recall reading a 08.5 system can't be put on the 94-98 system. But why does the 99 fit and the 08.5 not, when the 08.5 fits just fine on the 99+ ram? I'm sure that's confusing to read, but I digress. I need to do something about this god awful steering play.

You could buy a DOR kit which is probably the best steering kit for a dodge and never worry about it again. Just an idea...
Great link, I was actually about to post this back on here, I found it while doing more research when waiting on responses lol.

The dealership's $350 08.5 kit is a little easier on my wallet than his $750 kit. I know you get what you pay for but there's some great feedback on the 08.5 kit lol.
