I would say that your steering box is on it's way out. You should have someone turn the wheel with the truck stopped and you should watch all the steering linkage and see if you can see anything that has a lot of slop in it.

i would also look into a borgeson steering shaft if it already doesnt have one.

Check your front axle u joints.

I had that problem with my truck and i replaced my steering box and the problem went away, so i'd definently check that out!!

Also check your steering column. While the wheel is being turned, watch the firewall forward side of the column (not the shaft) for movement.
