Just rebuilt box on my 98. Second time. After i put it back together and mounted it, it will steer to the right all by itself and is difficult to steer to the left. Still on jack stands. even if i pull it off for the third time (kinda a pain with the DSS) everything still looks right. am i missing something here. could it be the shaft adjustments?

I would double check all your lines and make sure they are on correct. But i would bet you have some air in the system. I would try to bleed out the system and that should take care of it

other than turning back and forth is there another way to bleed it?

back and forth and let it sit to de airate the fluid, is the easiest, or you can run a constant flow from the resevior to a drain pan. But that will use a lot of oil.

If you can after turning back and forth let the cap sit off the power steering resivoir over night

The valve after the flex shaft is stuck or you have a leak at the valve. It is letting fluid leak to one side. Most likely the latter. Sorry dude. I think you need to pop it back apart and look for a pinched o ring most likely.
