I have a 2001 cummins. If my truck sits overnight, it starts fine but if i drive it for a while, shut it down and try to fire it back up within an hour or two, it has a very long crank time. It will eventually start but takes every bit of 15-20 seconds. But once it starts, it runs fine. It has an edge tuner. Don’t know a whole lot about the truck as far as upgrades. Any help would be appreciated

When you park it over night, is the front end lower than the back end?
Kinda thinking about an air issue.

Yes, usually. I did forget to mention that. If my front end is below rear end, it starts fine. So i thought about about fuel delivery issue but I’m new to diesels so i wanted to get other opinions before i threw a pump at it

Probably a lose banjo joint on the back of the head return line. Try tightening it with an end wrench while laying on the valve cover. Could be other places like the T fitting but start there.
