i am thinking of either doing 6" stacks or a 6" exhaust ? i have a 4" straight on it right now with the badp race module. I love the sound but want it louder and i talked to a exhaust shop and they told me that 6" exhaust would be very loud ? is this true and also are stacks louder than just a regular side exit exhaust.

Stacks will drone in the cab more due to, well, being right outside the cab.

As far as opinions on what to get...

1. If you have a longbed, 6" mitre's hands down.
2. If you have a shortbed and no toolboxes, see #1.
3. If you have a shortbed and saddleboxes that you can't live without (like, sadly, i do) then an underchassis exhaust. Putting stacks AND a standard saddlebox on a shortbed would leave you with about 3' of useable bedspace. A Ford Explorer Sporttrac has more space...

Personally most trucks i see either have mitre cuts or aussie stacks, i'm a fan of the straight cut or, lostnwalmart's new cat stack. i just like to be different i guess. fill out your sig and we might be able to help you with more than just exhaust.

i see that you live in sarasota... im down that way all the time... what shop did you talk to? ive been wanting to hear a 6.7 with the DPF delete on it.

the 6" wont be so much louder but it will have a depper less raspy tone..:thumbsup

I have to say stacks. The 6" mitres look really good, but turn outs done right can look really good too.

I ran 7" stacks on my 6.7 and I could be happier with the set up. If you want I have some vids on youtube check it out unde 6.7 with 7" stacks parts 1-2

Shave the tail gate, have a 6" tip coming through the center of the tail gate with a 5" TBE to it. It would look like a Jet engine if you can make smoke.

When i build the 96' that is what i plan to do with it

i'm doing the stacks, either 6" or 7" into a 5" t pipe and 5" all the way back. i just want to be as loud as my buddys 5.9l with straight 5"
