Might not help to much but I work in jersey and have seen plenty of pickups drivin around with stacks on em. And I've had my truck up there and never had anything said to me. Like I said don't know how much it will help you
What ive heard was that you can have stacks on pickups, but i think its going to be in 09 or 10 your gonna have to have heat shields on them. Which is the dumbest thing. Im not positive on the year that will come into effect, but for now, i say do them, cuz im trying to get some money off the boss so i can put duel 5" with the mitre cuts on my ram.

Hey-
I'm in Denville and a buddy of mine has had them for a few years, no troubles with johnny law yet.

yea ive had mine on for a few months now and havent had any problems with the law. im just asking cause i had to go for inspection today. they didnt even look at the exhaust. however, i still failed for the second time for my brakes. after the first time i failed, i spent a grand to get them fixed. however i still failed the second time. time to find a private shop. a new private shop. my mechanic told me today that he couldnt inspect my truck cause i told him yesterday i wanted just an inspection instead of specifying and saying re-inspection. pure BS to me. and he also said he couldnt do it cause i have a leveling kit on it. according to him he cant touch lifted vehicles at all and its an illegal lift. however in the NJ guidelines, any vehicle lifted OVER 3 inches from STOCK, needs a tip test. but mine isnt close to that. he also claimed he couldnt do it cause he didnt know what brake work i had done. i pointed to all the shiny new parts and he still wouldnt belive me. i was so pissed. HUGE FAIL on my part. not a good day. however im racin tonight :) so im excited

yea you can have them, i've been through the inspections check points and never had one problem....well i did have to convince the guy that it was a diesel when he saw i didn't have a cat or muffler.

mendham is up north right...
Bomaster. I will talk to the private inspection station I have my truck done at to see if he can help you. PM your way.
As long as your exhaust exits behind the passenger cabin you are good.. Thats how its written in Jersey law.
I know 2 guys that have registered their trucks @ 10k so they qualify for "self-inspect". Might be worth looking into.
Make that 3 :lol3:
I register heavy just because its easier. I believe they are doing away with self inspect though in the next few years.
Move to SC we don't have any inspections here.:peelout

I'm originally from Somerset, don't miss The Peoples Republic of Jersey at all. :lol3:

Yep There's a guy in Boonton with them too. Is that who you are talking about? His Dad used to work for a Dealer.

I'm in Dover. Wednesday night Wendys Cruse-in. Stop in. I'll either have my truck or my car. 6 to 9 PM. I'll see ya. I'm one of the officials

did the samw thing registered over 10 k , got pulled over a few times for speeding but never got asked about the stacks , just the spike lug nut covers also asked if i had paprework for being reg over 10k but told them i wasnt givien any when i did it. staks all the way, imo trucks look much better with them.
Did mine for over 10k too.. Lol.. Much much easier!
