I've been playing with the idea of stripping my T pipe to metal and spraying it with clear because i have been lucky enough to have plastic bags blown in my bed and melt:CRY:

Any ways anyone ever done this, what products are rated for the temps you would put out, if any are.

I think there are covers/heat shields for these that go across the front of the bed. Chromed already.

I had a styrafoam cooler melt on my y pipe last night. Came right off though. Mine is getting rusty, and I'm thinking of taking it off and putting high temp black paint on it.

I would use any Hi-Temp Paint made for exhausts. At some point i need to do the same. It will keep it looking nicer.
