ok im looking at getting a silver bullet, my truck will be a drag racer/ daily driver. i understand the silver bullet lags quite a bit. so for fuel i am going to get my local diesel shops old pump and injectors of of their pulling truck that are set to deliver 1000cc of fuel. the pump currently has 6k sovernor springs in it and i definitly dont want those for DD so i am going to have them swapped out for 4ks and then 4.5s or maybe 5s after i rebuild my bottom end, but anyways how do u think this setup would work out?

I think they have modified the stock governor counterwieghts or have a RSK governor on there. 1000cc's of fuel is enough for 1200hp if you clean it (almost never happens) The silver bullet with be to small. Also that pump might be a 14mm which haven't proven durable. And oversized holders and lines will be required to run the pump. It will make some power though.

A Big set of twins and possibly N20 is your only option IMO of having a chance of making it streetable. The injectors are also probably ridiculously sized. It will smoke for sure, good luck with the police. You'll want a full race build with pistons, cam, girdle, studs, P&P head, the works to make that work.

Personally I wouldn't trade my stock 913 for that pump for my DD

they "say" its a 13mm dragonflow pump from industrial injection set to flow 1000cc of fuel and they are running it with a single 71mm turbo. im not so sure its what they say it is but i could be wrong. i talked to them and they said it would run fine with a silver bullet and be ok for daily driving but a little on the smoky side. and cops down here dont care about the smoke that much, ive got a friend with and 07 thats pushing 800hp and his cops friends think the smoke is cool :lol3:

II only rates the 13mm @ 670ccs @ 4,000rpm

I like smoke and all but thats a dangerous amount

Look for a good deal on a 64/71 over and s480

It would be a compedative puller in the 2.8 or 3.0 class

yeah thats why i thought it was weird when they told me it flowed 1000cc of fuel anyways so u think it will spool a silver bullet just fine? and i was thinking about upgrading to their twin setup later with their silver bullet and big brother turbo. what kind of fuel do i need to push to spool those?

so 670cc of fuel should spool the twin set up just fine? and I think the big brother turbo is a 95mm turbo

Depends on the rest of the truck
I imagine the 1000ccs was done on a bench not capable of spinning the pump to the desired rpms, limited restrictions to fuel flow, etc.....every shop rates pumps a little different. Unfortunately 1000cc from one does not equal 1000cc from another

But its going to lick balls on the street with those twins IMO

With a 13mm from II ... Twins would almost be a must. Im getting ready to drop a bullet in mine ... but with be around 600+ hp.

A bullet on a 13mm pump will run hott ... but it will spool it

At that level its like swinging at a pinata blindfolded

Like I said 1000cc is more than enough for 1000hp, but the truck could throw down 400. Drag times are just as wild. Setup and application of what you have is much more important than sear volume
