I realize that after my complaining, the Raptor is quite a good pump. Not fond of the draw straw that comes with it though. It seems the most common problem I had and hear of is crap in the fuel locking them up.

There were several discussions on prefilters on here and I have to say, they truly work and proved to me it's not a pump quality issue as is more a fuel issue. I installed the Vulcan draw straw V and a vp max 10mil. seperator and problem solved. I live in high humidity and need to drain off the water every couple months and the Donaldson filter allows this.

If you do not have an Air Dog or Fass filtration, you really should filter the fuel prior to the lift pump. I swear by it now as I don't have to worry if the station's filters are good or not anymore.
