i've heard about this snap ring in the intake that if you remove it, it will increase the sound of your turbo's whistle.

is that true? and if it is where is it i wanna get rid of it!:thumbsup

There a thead around here that says you dont wanna get rid of it on the 6.7 i not sure why someone will hopefully chrime in and help more

If you like the whistle, it's worth it but it does get a bit old sometimes. I have heard the latter 6.7s were epoxied in. I haven't seen this for myself.

You dont wanna remove it on a 6.7. You can remove the foam baffle in the intake tube. Its easily removed.

I don't recommend it. I did it on my first 6.7. Loved the sound but I could feel a power loss. It is staying in place on this 6.7.

As Comp said, remove the foam baffle.
