sounds like the general census is dont do it on a 6.7. with an aftermarket (especially an open box) cai and no silencer ring you will get lots of turbo whine.
on 5.9's the snap ring holds the silencer ring in.
6.7's are pinned and harder to remove
If you like the whistle, it's worth it but it does get a bit old sometimes. I have heard the latter 6.7s were epoxied in. I haven't seen this for myself.
