Well guys ... I know I have been absent for a while ... but I have been super busy!
I have started on the build to achive 600+ hp, and having a hell of a fun time doing it!! :thumbsup
Heres the short side of the story. Obviously I wanted to go more with the truck, and I have been debating building the motor more, or leaving it around 400 horsepower for the last 2 years. Well the time has come ... and its getting re built!! :woot:
Andy Sebek(SmokinRam ... Owner of Keystone Diesel) sat down, and went over the countless number of options, and got one awesome solid list of parts down, and started ordering.
Pulled my current Southbend Con OFE and installed Peters 3600 12cb DD w/ imput shaft upgrade.
We then sent out a stock low milage 12v head to Greg @ GMS Racing Engines, and had him do a Stage 3+ Port & Polish, Re-surface, O-rings, #60 Valve Springs, and re-worked some other things :T:
He did a GREAT JOB on this thing ... Removed around 18 pounds of material!!! :thud:
This is our progress over the last few days. We have the Stage 3+ head on, and fastened down with ARP Headstuds. We also replaced the front cover gaskets, along with a few others while everything was tore apart.
Last night we were able to get the ATS 3-Piece Manifold in place, as well as the Industrial Injection Silver Bullet & The new downpipe.
Things are REALLY starting to come together now ... and I will be sure to keep everyone posted on here on our progress.
