Well guys ... I know I have been absent for a while ... but I have been super busy!

I have started on the build to achive 600+ hp, and having a hell of a fun time doing it!! :thumbsup

Heres the short side of the story. Obviously I wanted to go more with the truck, and I have been debating building the motor more, or leaving it around 400 horsepower for the last 2 years. Well the time has come ... and its getting re built!! :woot:

Andy Sebek(SmokinRam ... Owner of Keystone Diesel) sat down, and went over the countless number of options, and got one awesome solid list of parts down, and started ordering.

Pulled my current Southbend Con OFE and installed Peters 3600 12cb DD w/ imput shaft upgrade.

We then sent out a stock low milage 12v head to Greg @ GMS Racing Engines, and had him do a Stage 3+ Port & Polish, Re-surface, O-rings, #60 Valve Springs, and re-worked some other things :T:

He did a GREAT JOB on this thing ... Removed around 18 pounds of material!!! :thud:

This is our progress over the last few days. We have the Stage 3+ head on, and fastened down with ARP Headstuds. We also replaced the front cover gaskets, along with a few others while everything was tore apart.

Last night we were able to get the ATS 3-Piece Manifold in place, as well as the Industrial Injection Silver Bullet & The new downpipe.

Things are REALLY starting to come together now ... and I will be sure to keep everyone posted on here on our progress.

It is definitly starting to all come together ... but we still have a lot of work to do.

I will keep everyone updated on how things are going, and will be sure to take pictures as well. :thumbsup

See what we can get done tonight!

Dont worry man it will make you feel good that much more that you put the wrench time in yourself.

i cant believe it... i was just gonna text you about how its all coming together... better get that oil off the windshield...lookin good so far man..

:lol3: ... The truck is a mess right now!! ... I dont even look at it (only under the hood) ... Grinding, polishing, grease, oil, dirt ... :CRY: ... But its all good!

Dont worry man it will make you feel good that much more that you put the wrench time in yourself.

Most definitly ... but I honestly couldn't do this build without Andy's help (and the rest of the guys that have been helping out!) ... and he/they has no clue how much I appriciate everything! ...

well id say it will be worth it but them hands in the one pic look almost staged...lol just a little too clean :w:... nice shiny turbo though i boutght it for that reason and i cant see mine:thud: but ya most definately looks good!:thumbsup

Its a learning experience Mike. I am just glad you are willing to learn during this process.

You have no clue how many people want their trucks "Turned-Up" and have no clue how to troubleshoot, diagnose, or fix any issues that may come up. And everyone knows, a modified truck is NEVER absolutely trouble free.

You have no clue how many people want their trucks "Turned-Up" and have no clue how to troubleshoot, diagnose, or fix any issues that may come up. And everyone knows, a modified truck is NEVER absolutely trouble free.
Man I have an absoulute BLAST working on this thing (as well as helping out on the other trucks)

Your like a magician with these things ... Sometimes I just sit back and watch you do your thing.

It's about time you decided to make some power with that thing Mike, instead of just polishing the paint off from it. :lol3:

Mojo ... Add 12 more valves to make less power? ... Thats kind of doing the opposite of what I want ... :rof:T:

looks good big guy!, also are ya gonna make it out east to Buck on 22nd.???, love to see it burn fuel out this way, i'm a little green, no cross hatch on those cylinders????!!!!????? Teen wolf

I may make it out ... it all depends. There is still the same amount of cross hatch on the walls that came from the factory. The pistons, cyl walls, block, etc look GREAT ... which was a huge relief to me :thumbsup

rock man! i was hopin' for response couldn't see cross h in pics, i bet seein g that was like hittin the lotto, best of luck in quest.....Buck on 22nd!
