Has anybody notice smoke on take off and slight throtle load. On my TST with timing only, set on 1-0 and timiing anything over 9 deg I can soot the side of my trailer. When the boost is above 20 psi I havent notied it.I would think the smarty would do the same. Please let me know if you have noticed this too. THANKS John

You would think that advancing the timing would burn the fuel more efficiantly and would have less smoke.

Even Cummins has released statements about it...I believe they said below 2k RPM it increases smoke but above burns normally...there was a magic RPM for their engines I just don't remember what it was...
