:w::w:Smoke switch and Lock up switch are different things. Lock up switch is also known as a mystery switch and a torque converter lock up switch. They lock the converter. Smoke switch turns off the egr, also known as a exhaust gas temperature or the map sensor. That switch will make smoke by telling the motor to go maximum fuel, rather than regulated. Now that that is straight Lets see some innovative ways to wire up a Smoke switch. :thumbsup

I would love to do that myself but I'm too ignorant to make it happen.

Just unplug the map sensor with the comp box
Yeap... Thats all I do is unplug the MAP sensor and it nice and thick smoke...

But remember boys and girls that BLACK smoke is a sign of unburnt fuel. This in turn means that lower MPGs will happen...:thud:

I rather see the 21-22 MPG instead of black smoke...:w:

how do you unplug the map sensor? I know right where it is on the block but it doesn't seem like it just unplugs like the IAT sensor

So basically a "Smoke Switch" just toggles the MAP sensor on and off?

Since you don't have a Edge Comp (or similar box) all your going to do is throw a error code and de-fuel the engine...

Basically the Edge Comp has to connectors one goes to the MAP sensor (on the block) and the other connector that goes to the MAP connector (going back to the ECM). The connector that goes to the MAP sensor is the one you pull...

REMEMBER! YOU NEED A ENHANCEMENT BOX like a Edge Comp before you do this! Other than that you just throw a error code and CEL light.

Did you have the Juice when you unplugged it?

If you did, then you unplugged it in the wrong place. It will run GOOD if you do it right.

I thought there was only one map sensor. What was I supposed to unplug?

There is just one map sensor, but with the Comp/Juice there are two connections. One going into the block from the Juice, and one coming from the stock harness to the Juice.

You want to unplug it from the block, and leave the stock connected to the Juice.

http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/3...make-smoke-switch.html?highlight=smoke+switch This is how I done mine except on the boost fooler I cut into the wires after the fooler that plug into the sensor them self.I put it on last night and when the switch is on it will make cars change lanes. If you are at a red light the other cars will stay way back on take off. It's enough smoke that you will make a freight train jealous.:woot:
