Smarty tuning issues

Well I bought a smarty the other day and put it on level 8 stacked with my edge on 5x5. Figured out 6 wasn't good real quick haha any how I want to play with the other setting like injector duration and the other things it has but when I try to access the ECM it won't connect any ideas?
