Anybody ever heard of the egt probe wire getting so hot it starts to burn? I just finished replacing a bunch of front end parts, and a steering box. One of my hydroboost lines rusted through and the atf4 I'm guessing must have gotten on the black box that you screw the 2 wires to. I didn't think anything of it till I started the truck and noticed smoke coming from the probe. I thought it was an exhaust leak till the whole thing started smoking and melting anything around it.
