If you have to ask the SSR is not for you. Its very hard to get a better tune with it compared to the s06 and you need a dyno and lots of knowledge.
Neither one. EFI Live FTW.

everything about an efi live tune will be better, it will just cost a little more but if you have an 06 and up truck its hands down the way to go.
Depending route he takes it may not cost no more than the smarty.

Your best choice is to go with the S-06. Then at your leisure you can upgrade to UDC for the absolute best custom tuning.
Smarty UDC Downloads
smarty and absolute best custom tuning don't really go together. You need more than 5 tables to deliver the "best in custom tuning".

Smarty and the "absolute best custom tuning" available, really DO go together. You may need more than 5 tables to deliver, but many tuners do not. With properly written base files, 4 or 5 critical tables allow an incredible amount of adjustability. Duration, timing, rail pressure, wastegate & torque management, allow most to achieve, exactly what they are after!
Keep telling yourself that while your market share continues to slip into singe digits. Smarty has lied to its customers from day one, no reason why they should stop now.
Well Cody, What might this be in reference to?
I am going to say he might be referring to leaving a footprint but not for certain.
lets start with smarty is untraceable when returned to stock, its not. Leaving checksums disabled and leaving a read block on the ecm is pretty easy to detect.

second, not too awfully long ago smarty told the world that the 5.9 ecm could not physically fuel past 4,000rpm. I think that one is self explanatory.

Third, smarty does not use post injection. Every log I have ever seen of a smarty tuned truck clearly shows that the post map is stock as can be and very active.

fourth, to disable torque management on autos you have to lose the gear indicator, reverse lights, and the truck will start in gear. I can do burnouts, boosted launches, etc. In my EFI Live tuned truck with my gear indicator, reverse lights, and neutral safety switch all functioning.

That is just the list off of the top of my head and being that it is Thanksgiving I will end this conversation with this post.
