when i plug my smarty up to download to my truck it says error unknow software. its s06 for a 04.5. what can i do to get it to work?

Did you buy it new or used? If new , just call the vendor or contact Bob Wagner here.....I'll send him a link to this thread for you.:thumbsup

If you got it second hand and it's vin locked , then your pretty much out of luck.

I worked fine befor I had gus at fbd to update it. He said he can't remember if he set it back to stock.

that does not matter, you are trying to use an older smarty software that the ecm will not allow.

Update to the Revo or TNT and you will be back in the game.
